The Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts is open to visitors everyday except Mondays between 1th of November, 2018 and 31th of March, 2019. In the other months, the museum is going to be open to visitors seven days a week.

Visiting Times

The last entrance time to the museum is 30 minutes before closing time.
The museum opens at 13:00 on the first day of religious holidays.

  • 31 October / 14 April Winter Season

    Winter Opening Time: 09.00
    Winter Closing Time: 17.00

Museum Cards can also be used for entrance.

Rules

It is forbidden to smoke cigarettes and other tobacco products in all indoor and outdoor areas,

Bring suitcases or professional cameras into the museum,

Touch objects in open displays,

or eat and drink in the exhibition rooms.

Transport

  • By Car

    For private cars, the shortest and least congested route from both the Anatolian and European sides is via the coast road (Kennedy Caddesi). Visitors approaching from Sultanahmet Square should enter via Çatladıkapı follow and the route shown on the map. Click here for more directions.

  • Public Transport

    The nearest public transport access point to the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts is the Sultanahmet Tram Stop on the T1 Bağcılar - Kabataş tramline, which connects with many other public transport networks, including the Metro and Marmaray lines.

  • Car Parking

    There are no parking facilities at the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts. However, there are some private car parks in the vicinity with a limited number of vehicle spaces.
